With the world an increasingly accessible place, trekking the path less trodden and the cycle trail less ridden isn’t quite as easy as it once was. But if you’re keen for a different holiday, here on iExplore we can take you off the proverbial beaten track into untouched landscapes and offer you some more off-beat activities.
To discover some altogether different holidays and activities, take a gander at our canal and river boating holidays, sailing trips and unusual winter holidays such as dogsledding, snowshoeing, igloo experiences and northern lights holidays. Or if you fancy a real one-off holiday, discover our polar cruises to the planet’s most extreme habitats in the Arctic and Antarctic and our volunteering trips, which offer bona fide once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
In the realm of walking and cycling tours, aside from the more iconic routes, we have loads of different holiday options. Choose a Via Ferrata holiday in the Dolomites, explore Italy’s Bay of Naples on foot or hike Turkey’s spectacular Kacker Mountains. Cycle the Italy’s Piedmont region on a gastronomic tour or feel the muscle burn on the classic cols of the Tour de France.
